A current account in Italy costs approximately 100 euros per year

Banks: ABI, call centers handled 53 million incoming calls regarding transactions, services and customer care
Nearly 50% more calls than in 2007. The average call waiting time is 40 seconds and over 85% of customers are provided with a definite answer during the same call. Two in three call centers provide assistance in more than one language to meet foreign customers’ needs. These are the results of the fifth annual survey of call centers conducted by ABI Lab and ABI’s Marketing and Customer Satisfaction Department. Details >>

Banks: ABI, robberies down by 16%; more than half of robbery attempts failed
504 cash deposit machines, ATMs, bank safes and vaults were robbed in 2008, versus 600 in the previous year. 53.2% of robbery attempts failed. This is the overview provided by OSSIF,
ABI’s Security Research Center; the positive trend recorded in 2008 is confirmed: the number of tellers that were robbed has significantly decreased (-27.3%). Full text >>
