Banks: ABI, bank robberies dropped by 24% in the first trimester 2008
606 bank robberies versus 796 during the same time period in 2007. The total loot and the so-called “risk index” decrease as well, respectively by 24.1% and 23.7%. This is the picture portrayed by Ossif, the Italian Banking Association’s Research Centre on safety. full text

ABI: Basel 2 strengthened dialogue with companies Italian banks are safe from crisis
Mr. Zadra said, “We are in line with Europe. Basel 2 has created the conditions for a cultural revolution with regard to dialogue between banks and companies. We are safe from the international crisis also owing to the plans for liquidity risk mitigation; solidity of key groups is high, and credit expansion is strong”. Full text

Elections: ABI and ANIA, results are clear, now action plan for development and trust is necessary
